Appleは、ストリーミングサービス「Apple TV+」で年間10億ドル以上の損失を出していると報じられています。このサービスはAppleのポートフォリオの中で唯一利益を上げておらず、2019年の開始以来、毎年約50億ドルをコンテンツに投資してきましたが、2024年にはその額を45億ドルに減少させました。
Apple TV+は「セヴァランス」や「テッド・ラッソ」などのオリジナル番組で知られ、2,500以上の賞にノミネートされていますが、加入者数は推定4500万人で、NetflixやDisney+、Amazon Prime Videoに比べて少ない状況です。
